The Benicia Capitol State Historic Park is located in Benicia, California. It is a state park that honors California's third capitol building. The state legislature convened here from February 3, 1853 to February 24, 1854. Later, the legislature decided to move the state's capital to Sacramento. Located in Solano County, the park features almost an acre of historical resources. It is accessible by foot or by car via West "G" Street. The park also features the Fischer-Hanlon House, which was part of a burned-down hotel. After 1858, the hotel became a residence for the Fischer family. In 1968, the Fischers deeded the home to the state park system. Today, the Fischer-Hanlon House is used to interpret the life of an upper-class family.

The park is located on tidelands that were leased from the California State Lands Commission.
